Meet the Therapist

Hello and welcome!  I appreciate you stopping by!  I am Cherry Aslarona, a

licensed psychotherapist who has been practicing in the state of California for 11 years. I specialize in areas such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief & loss, cultural issues, and chronic illness, specifically psychosocial oncology.

My clinical approach stems from mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, existential therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), somatic therapy, embodiment, and the mind-body connection.  I am trained in and provide eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).  I am also a Run Walk Talk® Practitioner, and I am currently working on my two year certification to become a Hakomi Method practitioner.   â€‹

Above all my clinical approaches, I find the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist an important aspect in my practice.  I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision, and I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their emotions, thoughts and behaviors.  My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and presence.
